*This position is 4 (10 hr) days a week, with fully paid benefits available after 3 months.
Position Summary:
Conducts the maintenance of the equipment and technology of the organization(s) and prepares reports of equipment and machinery. Including schedules, maintenance costs, operational efficiencies for the guidance of Senior Management.
The Heavy-Duty Mechanic is responsible for conducting equipment & technology maintenance practices. This includes assisting in the design, construction, and commissioning of new equipment/technology. The Heavy-Duty Mechanic is also responsible for the conduct of its relationships with equipment and parts suppliers, the maintenance of existing equipment and the preparation of reports on potential new equipment purchases.
The Heavy-Duty Mechanic has the responsibility for assisting in mechanical/equipment purchases, processes, and operations for the organization.
The position involves supervision over:
-
maintenance for general equipment & technology,
-
apprentice maintenance staff, and
-
labour staff.
This role is considered to be safety-sensitive.

PLANNING
Assist Shop Manager in providing info and preparing reports to show cost/benefit analysis of maintenance operations and programs.
Follow and create effective maintenance schedules to ensure maximum efficiency while workers are performing maintenance duties, as well as plan to integrate new equipment, technologies or processes into existing production systems.
Tradespeople are required to have their own tools.

Salary: $33.00-$38.00 per hour

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled, reliable general labourer to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for a large variety of duties. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Job Type: Full-time - Temporary
Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00/hour (based on skills and experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate agricultural equipment (cutting, baling, raking, etc) to complete harvest
-
Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment
-
Follow project instructions from manager or supervisor
-
Consult with supervisor on short- and long-term plans
-
Basic mechanical and electrical maintenance
-
Use construction and maintenance tools, and equipment to complete daily tasks
-
Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
-
Ensure regulated and proper PPE is worn, and safety rules and regulations are followed at all times
-
Deliver products and equipment both short and long distances
-
Drive truck and trailer, competent at securing various loads
-
Operate farm and heavy machinery
-
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
-
Have the ability to be self-motivated and not require constant supervision
-
Safely operate a variety of tools including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, blowtorches, etc.
-
Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space
-
Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed
-
Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials
-
Ensure equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
-
Must be able to work long hours for consecutive days
Requirements and Qualifications:
-
High school degree or equivalent educational experience; trade apprenticeships a plus
-
Must have valid, current, class 5 driver's license; class 3 or 1 driver's license considered a plus
-
Welding, mechanical, electrical, construction training/experience an asset
-
Must be 18 years of age
-
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
-
Must be comfortable climbing up tall ladders, working at elevated levels
-
Positive attitude and work ethic
-
Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
-
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
-
English speaking proficiency required
